Light Painting
Course Description:
Light painting is using flashlights and other light sources to paint objects in light. In this class you will learn the techniques to light paint small still life set ups to large outdoor scenes.
We will start at the Center with a lecture on light painting, and then move into light painting small scenes to models at The Center for Fine Art Photography. After reviewing these images we will head outside to light paint larger scenes using powerful spotlights.
We will discuss types of lights to use, adding color gels to lights, and practice techniques to feather the light into a scene. Lights will be provided for participants, and you can bring your own as well. Bring you camera.
A tripod and locking cable release are highly recommended for this class. There will be a break dinner.
