Image Transfer Class
Course Description:
Image transfer and Emulsion lift are two photographic processes that will add a painterly effect to your work.
Originally known as Polaroid transfer the image can now be made from Fuji film and even digital inkjet paper. Applications of the transfer process are infinite from watercolor paper, to fabric, to glass and even sculpture.
We will spend the first part of the class looking at a variety of transfers. Next we will do a traditional transfer using Fuji Film and creating images from slides that you will bring to class. Employing the Daylab 35 transfer equipment we will make our exposures and attach them employing a brayer to a hot press watercolor paper and other surfaces.
