Creative Lighting for Portraits
Course Description:
In this class we will look at choosing the best type of lighting for creating portraits. Knowing how to create and shape light for the right effect is an important portraiture skill.
We will look at characteristics of light including quality, color and direction and choosing the right shooting location. Students will learn simple to advanced lighting techniques including using available light, reflectors/diffusion panels, TTL flash and studio flash on location.
The class will photograph models during this session, and we will critique images from the shoot. Please bring your camera, a flash if you have one, and a laptop for downloading your images and critiques.
There will be a break for lunch.
