We're moving and need your help!

The challenge is to be in by the end of February and there is lots to do. The landlord has gutted out the unnecessary walls in what will be the gallery and coffee shop.

What we need to do and where we need your help is:
  • Cleanup from the demolition
  • Capping off many electrical and plumbing runs that will no longer be used
  • Dry walling
  • Painting - Lots of painting
  • Putting down a laminate floor in the gallery

If you have expertise as a plumber or electrician, we really need your help!

With the holidays on us, the timing is not the best. But hey, would your rather shop til you drop or have fun with fellow photographers creating the grandest fine art photography center in Colorado?

If you've read this far, you may be thinking I am certifiably off my rocker. But it can be done! If you have the time and interest in helping the Center during this critical growth period, please call or email Chanda and let her know when you may be able to lend a hand.

Chanda can be reached at 970-224-1010

Thank you for your consideration and best wishes for the holidays.

Larry Padgett

Docents

Docents make it possible for the Center to open its galleries for public viewing. They are volunteers who serve as the Center’s ambassadors to gallery visitors.

As a Docent, you meet a variety of interesting visitors who are photographers, visual artists in other media and who have a genuine interest in talking about the art of photography.

Regardless of their level of knowledge about the art of photography, Docents who enjoy people make the best representatives and enjoy coming back frequently.

Exhibitions Assistants

Without the help Exhibition Assistants the Center would be unable to host its many exhibitions.

Exhibition Assistants help with the installation and de installation of the exhibitions under the guidance of the Center's curatorial staff. Installations typically require about 16 hours, or 4 people working together for approximately 4 hours. De installation takes about the same amount of time to remove the artwork from the walls and to carefully pack it for shipping.

Others

The Center periodically requires assistance for remodeling projects, computer network management, office tasks assistance and a variety of other functions. If you can offer some of your skills and would like to be on our list of volunteers, please call the Center at 970.224.1010 or send an email.

Thank you for your consideration.
