This exhibition will be juried by Brian Paul Clamp, the Director of CLAMPART.

Mr. Clamp is a native Coloradoan who now calls New York City home. After working several years in an Upper East Side gallery, he opened the doors to CLAMPART in 2000. Located in Chelsea, Manhattan, CLAMPART specializes in a broad range of Modern and Contemporary paintings, prints, and photographs. Brian holds a Masters of Art in Critical Studies in Modern Art from Columbia University, and is the author of thirty publications on American Art to date.

In an interview on, Mr. Clamp stated,

“I’m attracted to artists that can convey their ideas and who are aware of their place amongst the cultural landscape.”

If you plan on submitting for the Consumption call for entries, it’s good to know that the juror will be looking for work that “has soul.” Read the rest of the interview [HERE].

CLAMPART is known for working with emerging talent. Mr. Clamp suggests,

“… the more exposure the better. The most important thing is to have as many eyes on your artwork as possible.”
