Exhibitors' Announcement - Colorado Photographers Exhibition

The Center for Fine Art Photography is pleased to announce the juror's selections for the
Colorado Photographers Exhibition. The images were selected by Larry Padgett, Director of
The Center for Fine Art Photography.

A note from the juror:

I though it might be helpful to understand how I evaluated each body of work. In the review process, I first evaluated each image on the strength of its individual merit. If all six images were individually compelling, I then evaluated the cohesiveness of the images in making up a body of work. I looked to see how all of the images fit together, portraying a similar theme and style.

Most of the work was submitted with individually strong images. However, often there were one, and sometimes two, images that just clearly did not fit in with the balance of the images. When this occurred, I removed them from further consideration.

There were so many quality submissions; it would have been possible to have had a much larger show. When it came to making the final selection from about fourteen finalists' bodies of work I selected those that collectively provide a representative cross section of photographic styles.

The 2007 Colorado Photographers Exhibition will be on display at The Center for Fine Art Photography
from October 1^st - October 6^th, 2007. The Artists' and Public Reception will be October 5^th,
during the Fort Collins Gallery Walk.
