Images that are avant garde, edgy, mixed media, bizarre, experimental, etc. These may be images that don’t readily fit any of the usual categories.

Awards - Designed to give artists' the exposure their work deserves.

  • Best of Show
  • $1,000 in awards
  • Feature Artist presentation in Artists' ShowCase, an eight-page insert in the June issue of CameraArts magazine
  • Director's Selection: Special Recognition in the the published and online editions of Artists' ShowCase
  • 8 additional artists will also be included in the print edition of Artists' ShowCase*
  • All exhibitors are included in the Center's Online Edition of Artists' ShowCase.
  • 20 works will be selected for the post-exhibition traveling show to the Denver International Airport's main gallery
  • Inclusion in the Center's 2006 Exhibition Collection CD which is distributed to selected galleries, collectors, design houses and corporations world wide.

* Artists whose works are featured in Artists' ShowCase will receive additional copies for their portfolio.

Juror: Stephen Perloff is the founder and editor of The Photo Review

Stephen Perloff is the founder and editor of The Photo Review, a critical journal of international scope publishing since 1976, and editor of The Photograph Collector, the leading source of information on the photography art market. He has taught photography and the history of photography at numerous Philadelphia-area colleges and universities and has been the recipient of two grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for arts criticism. He was the recipient of the Sol Mednick Award for 2000 from the Mid-Atlantic region of the Society for Photographic Education.

He has curated more than a score of exhibitions, including "Camera Work: A Centennial Celebration," which opened at the James A. Michener Art Museum in September 2003 and traveled through January 2005. Most recently he curated an exhibition of environmentally-concerned photographs, "Paradise Paved," for the Painted Bride Art Center (April­May 2005) and "Radical Vision: The Revolution in American Photography, 1945-1980" at the James A. Michener Art Museum (January­May 2006).

September through December 2006 : Selected work exhibited in Denver International Airport gallery
