Open to amateur and professionals, internationally, working with traditional or digital photography, or combinations of both.

Juried by Philip Brookman, Senior Curator of Photography and Media Arts, at the prestigious Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington DC
Philip Brookman is responsible for the museum’s extensive photography collection. A writer, editor, filmmaker and photographer, he has recently written essays on artists Henri Cartier-Bresson and William Christenberry for The Washington Post Magazine, a script for a feature film with Jim Goldberg and numerous catalogue essays.

The Center offers to send Press Releases on behalf of exhibiting artists.

  • Approximately 50 works from  this exhibition will be will be selected for an exclusive post-exhibition traveling show to the Denver International Airport's main gallery in February 15 through May 21, 2007. An average of 10,000 people pass through the concourse daily.

  • Work in this exhibition will be on display during the holiday season. Approximately 30% of the 2005 exhibition was sold.
  • Solo Show Award (2007), plus $300 USD
  • Best of Show and Feature Artist in Artists' ShowCase,an eight-page insert in CameraArts magazine, plus $300.
  • Director's Selection award: Special Recognition in Artists' ShowCase
  • Six additional artists will be included in Artists' ShowCase
  • Two Artists’ ShowCase Online subscriptions – the Center’s new online image marketing website (preview at www.artists-showcase.org)
  • All exhibitors are included in the Center's online gallery
  • Inclusion in the Center's 2006 Exhibition Collection CD which is distributed to selected galleries, collectors, design houses and corporations world wide.

Entry Fees

  • The entry fee for non members is $35.00 UD for the first three images.
  • The entry fee for members of The Center for Fine Art Photography is $20.00 USD for 3 images.
  • Applicants signing up for membership at the time they submit their work for jurying may become a member and meet the entry fee for a total of $65.00 USD. Membership includes annual subscription to CameraArtsmagazine, eligibility to sell work on the Artists’ ShowCase Online and other benefits listed on the Center’s website.
  • Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images that may be submitted.

Important Dates:

  • Entries due midnight (MT) September 26, 2006
  • October 9, 2006 : Notification of acceptance
  • November 6, 2006: Accepted framed work due at the Center
  • November 17, 2006: Exhibition opening and reception
  • December 23, 2006: Exhibition closes
  • February 15 through March 21, 2007 : Traveling show to Denver International Airport Gallery
