If there’s one thing we don’t see much of these days, it seems to be grain. Not meaning the kind that waves blithely in prairie fields but rather the good and chunky silver halide variety. Photographer Adam Hall adds an eloquent reminder that your digital photography teacher is never going to suggest you pan for silver in the fixing bath.

Youth and animals go together like milk and cookies. That is to say there is an inherent quality in one that is perfectly known in the other. In the case of the former, these qualities are numerous but particularly in Clare Rickman’s Nymphs, wildness seems to dominate.
